Hillel is committed to tzedek (social justice) and tikun olam (repairing the world). To live those values, we offer opportunities for students to get involved and learn about projects that make a positive impact on our world.
Nazun/CHALLAH FOR HUNGER (CFH)
Nazun/Challah for Hunger (CFH) brings people together to bake and sell challah and raise awareness of food insecurity. Proceeds from challah sales are split between MAZON and the Yolo County Food Bank.
ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK (ASB) TRIP
Going on an alternative spring break (ASB) is a unique and meaningful way to spend spring break. We currently have no ASB trips planned, but stay tuned for possible trips in the future.
Hillel has organized ASB trips in the past to New Orleans and Miami. View photos below.
Yolo County Food Bank
We have partnered with Yolo County Food Bank to assemble food baskets for low-income residents in our county.
Yolo County Food Bank is a non-profit that fights hunger and malnutrition in Yolo County.
